Next Two Weeks in LCS- 6/22/12

As June comes to a close next week, we hope you are having a good summer!

Reminder: Stay on Track for your Professional Development this Summer: Law Career Services has created two Career Development "To Do" Lists (one for 2Ls & 3Ls and one for new grads) to help you stay on track with your professional development this summer. You can find them in Symplicity's Resources tab; search with keyword "summer" to find the "To Do" List appropriate for you.
Resume Review Period Has Opened: Law Career Services now requires resume review and approval by your advisor only once every academic year. You will need to upload an updated résumé for review to Symplicity to be granted full rights to uploading all your documents. If you are planning to participate in OCI, your OCI-specific résumé must be uploaded to Symplicity no later than July 13 to meet the résumé priority upload deadline. This guarantees that Law Career Services will be able to review and ultimately approve your résumé by the first OCI registration deadline.
Proper Document Upload: Please remember to carefully label your documents, especially résumés, as you upload them into Symplicity. For example, "Joe Student June 2012 Resume). Résumés need to be uploaded for review in Microsoft Word, not in any other format or as a pdf.
Summer Jobs Still Available: Multiple employers are still looking for current students to fill law clerk positions for THIS SUMMER. Available opportunities are listed within the Job Postings Tab in Symplicity. They include #15124, a personal injury firm looking for a 1L Clerk, and 16091 looking for a summer clerk.

LCS Hours: LCS has implemented its summer hours. Ten Minute Advising will not longer be scheduled until the Fall and our office will be open Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Next  Two Weeks' Calendar - check out Symplicity, the College of Law, and local bar association calendars for more events, training opportunities, and deadlines. **PLEASE NOTE: All Deadlines mentioned on the Symplicity Calendar will now be noted in the 9:30am slot of the deadline date. These include application and RSVP deadlines.
