Professional Development: Public Interest Legal Skills Seminar

The Center for Public Interest Law has launched a Public Interest Legal Skill Seminar Series to help students:

  • Aquire practical (and transferrable) legal skills
  • Network with practicing attorneys
  • Recognition witha Certification of Completion
  • Build Resume
  • Improve Job Prospects

This inaugural series will include a six-part seminar will focus on Mortgage Foreclosure, presented by Professor Kelli Dudley, and the topics will include:

  1. Client Interview & Initial Interview
  2. Motion Practice
  3. Impact on Tennats
  4. Settlement Otions
  5. Fair Housing
  6. Ethical Considerations

The series will be in 703 Lewis from 11:50 a.m. - 12:50 p.m. over six consecutive Mondays from October 8-November 12.  Attendance at all six sessions is required and will be recognized with a Certificate of Completion.
