President Obama's Champions of Change will be honoring 16 lawyers on Thursday, October 13 from a live event at the White House. The Pro Bono & Community Service Initiative, along with the Center for Public Interest Law and Law Career Services will be webcasting this program from 1:00-2:30 p.m. in 341 Lewis.  Please RSVP in Symplicity.

Etiquette Tip of the Week: Drink Requests

When you are invited to a cocktail party, and the host asks, "What would you like to drink?" Your response should not be, "I'd like a Bombay Sapphire martini straight up with bleu cheese stuffed olives and have the vermouth blow the martini a kiss."

USAJOBS Update

The Office of Personnel Management is improving USAJOBS. The transition is scheduled to begin at 5 pm EDT on October 7, 2011; at which time the search and apply functions will be taken offline. During the transition nearly 5 billion rows of data will be extracted, validated, and subjected to integrity testing to preserve the applicant resumes, seeker profiles, and agency job postings in the current system. Please visit USAJOBS.gov during the transition for daily status updates and general employment information.
