7 Deadly Sins of Self-Promotion on Twitter

This post on the 7 Sins of Self-Promotion on Twitter actually provides a great foundation on thinking about how you use any social media or present your personal brand (online and offline).  I particularly found the further link to the twictionary helpful, and reminds me of how many times I've learned about LinkedIn from other users, to supplement the updates and tips from the LinkedIn blog.  Where do you keep up with these trends? And how are you using them to integrate into your job search and the development of your professional image?

UPDATE: NRC Internship Application Deadline

Due to the high volume of applications and need for more time to conduct background checks, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s General Counsel unexpectedly moved up the deadline for its paid Summer Honors Program from Sat. Jan. 22nd to Fri., Jan. 7th.   The Recruitment and Development Coordinator has kindly agreed to reopen the application process until midnight Eastern on this Friday, Jan. 21st. Please alert your students. This information has been updated in the Government Honors & Internship Handbook (please see the Symplicity Announcements for the login/password information).

Public Policy Handbook Has Been Updated!

Law Career Services has received the new login/password to the Public Policy Handbook -- a service for those students interested in pursuing policy positions across the country. This new resource will be expanding and includes various programs targeting different topic areas. There are also helpful appendices and various insights on these positions.
