Etiquette Tip of the Week: Thank You for the Crummy Gift

Like or no, sending a thank you note for a gift received -- by mail, not the celebrated "e" kind -- is a must. So what do you say when you receive a gift you do not like?

"Thank you for your thoughtfulness."

Speaking of gifts you do not like, it is time for the annual holiday rant.  Forget the Secret Santa this year and just have a party with food. Secret Santas are where everyone pulls a name of a co-worker from a hat and then buys (or re-gifts) that person a secret "gag" gift. Your employees and co-workers have enough to do outside the workplace this month. Most people hate Secret Santas. But everyone likes food.

Thank you to the fantastic people at the Culture & Manners Institute for sharing a bit of weekly wisdom!
