Next Week in LCS - October 14, 2011

SAVE THE DATE! Mark your calendars for this year's Halloween Open House, which will be held on Thursday, October 27 from 4-6 pm. Come take a break, get a bite to eat, and mingle with students and LCS staff. It will also be a perfect time to check out our new space or make your next career advising appointment. Feel free to wear your costume!

Are you interested in learnng more about alternative careers? What else can you do with a law degree? Join LCS for Practicising Law Institute's 300 Things You Can With a Law Degree at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 20 in 341 Lewis. Bring your lunch and feel free to drop-in at any time throughout the presentation.

Looking to gain experience? Or make an impact on the community? Check out the various events for this year's National Pro Bono Week! The events will provide opportunities to learn more about the needs of our community, get involved, and network with various attorneys and bar association leaders.

Drop-In Advising continues throughout the semester.  You can stop by for ten minutes during drop-in advising on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  See the calendar below for this week's schedule and the upcoming schedules are available in Symplicity.

Job Search Material Review. Do you want your cover letter reviewed? Or have a resume reviewed after your initial one for the academic year has been approved? Just email the document to your advisor so she can review that for you.  Please still expect the typical 3-5 business day turnaround.
