Mentoring - finding your second brain!

As you network, pursuing informational interviewing, if you're diligent, some of those contacts will also become mentors. Eventually, you'll become a mentor yourself. Students: tap into the Alumni Sharing Knowledge network to seek out mentoring, networking, and mock interviewing opporutnitites. Alums, seek out the Alumni Sharing Knowledge program to not only serve as a mentor but also network with fellow alumni across disciplines and business sectors. NAWL's Backpack to Briefcase

The National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) is sponsoring a program called from "Backpack to Briefcase: A Transition Program for Law Students" on Tuesday, April 14th at Loyola Chicago Law School from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in Kasbeer Hall. Lawyers from law firms, government, public interest, and the judiciary are expected as panelists. Lunch will be served. See Symplicity for more details (RSVP due by April 9, 2009).

Student Debt Relief Resource Center

The College Cost Reduction & Access Act will become fully effective on July 1, 2009. This Act provided a new formula for debt repayment called Income Based Repayment that is available for all borrowers in properly consolidated loan programs. In addition, loan forgiveness is available for public service (defined broadly) employees. Equal Justice Works has launched a new Student Debt Relief Resources Center - check it out today!
